Le Mascottes

Il gruppo majorettes "Le Mascottes" nasce nel giugno del 1979 come abbellimento della Banda "Leone XIII" sfilando con l'attrezzo delle bandierine al posto del tipico "baton-twirl", che farà capolino sulla loro scena soltanto un anno dopo. Nel 1985 si iscrive alla F.I.M. (Federazione Italiana Majorettes) cominciando ad assistere ai Campionati Nazionali, Europei e Mondiali in varie località d'Italia e d'Europa. Da quel momento il gruppo frequenta corsi d'aggiornamento sulla tecnica del twirling e, di conseguenza, le ragazze conseguono i gradi tecnici necessari per la costruzione corretta delle coreografie. A questo impegno si affiancano corsi di preparazione specifica per le capitane a cui partecipano tutte le "anziane" de "Le Mascottes". Tra le sfilate più importanti di questi anni di attività si annoverano EffettoPunto nella città di Torino, diversi prestigiosi carnevali (Borgosesia, Pinerolo, Moncalieri, C.so Belgio a Torino, Saint-Vincent) e numerose parate di rilievo (Aosta, Rimini, Caorle e Santa Margherita (VE), Genova, Stresa, Alba) Nel 1994 il gruppo entra a far parte del Coordinamento Gruppi Majorettes di Torino, associazione affiliata allo C.S.A.I.N. (ente di promozione sportiva) e da quell'anno partecipa ai Meeting autunnali e primaverili del Coordinamento stesso. A tutt'oggi il gruppo è composto da trenta ragazze tra i cinque e i trentadue anni che si esercitano tre volte la settimana per sei ore settimanali complessive. Gli allenamenti comprendono riscaldamento, passi base di danza e ginnastica artistica, tecnica del "baton-twirl" e coreografie varie.

The majorettes group "Le Mascottes" borns in the june of 1979 for beautifying the band "Leone XIII", they begin marching with the flags instead of the classical baton-twirl, which will appear just a year later. During 1995 it subscribes to the F.I.M. (Italian Federation of Majorettes) where they begin to attend the national, the european and even the world championship in various places. From this moment the group begins to follow technical courses on the twirling techniques, and consequently, the girls acquire enough skill to build on their own coreographies. Beside this duty, it becomes necessary for the "eldest" to follow the specific lessons for the "captains". In the most important appointement you can find the "Efetto punto" of the city of Turin, prestigious carnival parades as those of Borgosesia, Pinerolo, Moncalieri, C.so Belgio in Turin, Saint Vincent and other meetings in famous places such as Aosta, Rimini, Caorle, Santa Margherita (VE), Genova, Stresa and Alba. In 1994 the group enters to be part of the Comittee of the Majorettes Groups of Turin, which is an association tied to C.S.A.I.N. (an organism of sport promotion) and from this year they partecipate to the spring and fall meetings of the comittee itself. Nowadays the group counts 30 girls aged from five to thirtytwo, they meet three times a week for a total of six hours. The preparation includes warming up, basic dance skill and artistic gymn, "baton-twirl" tecniques and various coreographies.
